Workshops - Introduction to Spoon Carving

Have you always wanted to carve your own spoon?  Join me in Dinas Powys to learn how to safely carve a spoon from a wood blank using a hook knife and straight knife.  We will consider the importance of grain alignment, learn a range of knife grips and discuss where to source suitable tools and materials.  You will leave with a finished spoon and the initial skills needed to continue your spoon carving journey at home at your own pace.  

A minimum of 4 people are required for each workshop to go ahead.  Maximum group size is 8.  This course is suitable for ages 16+ only.  If you need to cancel I will rearrange your booking for another date, several workshops are available.
